WEBINAR: Israel’s next plans, from Jenin to the judiciary

Israel’s invasion of the Jenin refugee camp this past month has shaken many assumptions about the so-called “status quo” in the land, coming on the heels of intensifying Palestinian resistance and surging settler pogroms in the West Bank. Yet, the military operation has hardly registered among the hundreds of thousands of Israelis protesting with greater urgency against the far-right government, as Benjamin Netanyahu’s coalition prepares to continue pushing through its judicial overhaul.

Join +972 journalists Vera Sajrawi and Amjad Iraqi, as well as Local Call’s Oren Ziv, for a webinar to unpack this current moment. The event will take place on Tuesday, August 1 at 8 p.m. Jerusalem time, 1 p.m. Eastern Time, and 10 a.m. Pacific Time.

The three will discuss how we connect the dots between what happened in Jenin and what’s unfolding in Israel’s streets, what discussions are currently happening in Palestinian society, what the Israeli government has planned, and what shifts are developing inside the protest movement.
