Santiago Montag reported from Israeli-occupied southern Lebanon, where, during the nearly two-month ‘ceasefire’ in Lebanon, Israel has continued to besiege villages, raze farmland, disappear civilians, and attack journalists and rescue workers. 

As Israel seeks to expand the share of Gazan territory under its control from 53 to 70 percent, its army has been firing on Palestinians caught off guard by the ever-shifting “Yellow Line.” Ruwaida Amer spoke with civilians left wondering where the ceasefire’s mediators are amid the escalating violence.

The debate over Jews’ origins is irrelevant to understanding the nature of the Zionist regime, argued Sleman Altehe. Regardless of Jewish historical ties to Palestine, he wrote, the modern national project is built on the dispossession and erasure of Palestinians.
