A bill to legalize the execution of Palestinian prisoners is making its way through Israel’s Knesset. By institutionalizing revenge and erasing remaining limits on state violence, Ron Dudai explained, the death penalty would cement the radical right’s ascendancy.

In the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces arrested prominent Palestinian activist Ayman Ghrayeb and are now holding him in a prison notorious for violence against inmates.
