Andrey X is an independent journalist and human rights activist based in the West Bank. He has a degree in Anthropology from University College London, having written a dissertation on national identity in unrecognised states, after doing fieldwork in Transnistria. Andrey has worked with several major Russian opposition publications (Meduza, Novaya Gazeta, DOXA and others), covering politics in the post-Soviet space. Since early 2023, he has worked with human rights advocacy organisations in the occupied West Bank.
